2. How We Use Your Information
We may use personal information to:
- Schedule, confirm and manage mobile tire-service appointments

We will not use personal information for unrelated purposes without obtaining appropriate consent or having another lawful basis to do so.
3. Email Marketing
Jackpine Auto may send commercial emails concerning seasonal tire-change availability, appointment openings, business announcements, discounts, promotions, new services and other relevant updates.
We send marketing emails only when we have the required consent or another applicable legal basis under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation.
Where we rely on express consent, customers must actively agree to receive marketing communications. We may also rely on implied consent where permitted by law, such as certain qualifying existing business relationships.
Each marketing email will identify Jackpine Auto and provide an accessible unsubscribe method.
You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in a marketing email or by contacting us at hello@jackpineauto.ca.
We will process unsubscribe requests promptly and within the time required by applicable law.
Unsubscribing from marketing will not prevent us from sending necessary communications relating to services or appointments, where legally permitted.
4. SMS and Text-Message Marketing
Where available, Jackpine Auto may offer optional SMS marketing concerning:
- Seasonal tire-change reminders
- Promotional discounts and special offers
- Appointment availability
- New or updated services
- Other relevant business announcements
We will send promotional text messages only where we have the required consent or other lawful authority.
Providing a telephone number to book a service does not, by itself, mean that you have agreed to receive promotional text messages.
Where we offer SMS marketing registration, we will explain the purpose of the messages and provide an appropriate way to consent.
Message frequency may vary based on the season and our promotions. Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by following the opt-out instructions included in our messages, such as replying STOP where that feature is supported, or by contacting hello@jackpineauto.ca.
SMS marketing is optional and is not a condition of purchasing our services.
Service-related text messages, such as requested appointment confirmations or scheduling updates, are separate from promotional SMS marketing and will be handled according to applicable law.
5. Former Machina Tires Customers
Jackpine Auto operates the mobile tire-service business following the transition from Machina Tires.
As part of that transition, Jackpine Auto may maintain customer contact information, appointment histories and related records obtained through the authorized business transfer.
We use these records to maintain service continuity, respond to customer inquiries, manage relevant service histories and communicate where legally permitted.
Any promotional email or SMS communications to former Machina Tires customers are subject to applicable consent requirements and customer opt-out preferences.
Customers may contact us to review, update or request the deletion of their personal information, subject to legal and legitimate business retention obligations.
6. Booking and Payment Service Providers
We use external service providers to operate parts of our business.
These may include:
- Square, for online booking, payment processing, receipts and customer management
- Mailchimp or other authorized marketing platforms, for email campaigns and, where enabled, SMS marketing
- Cloudflare, for website hosting, infrastructure, security and related technical services
- Google, where applicable, for website analytics, advertising measurement and related tools
These providers may process personal information on our behalf or under their own applicable privacy terms.
When you leave our website to complete a booking or payment through Square, information you submit may also be governed by Square's privacy practices.
We share only the information reasonably required for the relevant service or otherwise permitted by law.
7. Independent Contractors and Service Providers
Jackpine Auto may engage authorized independent technicians or contractors to perform booked services.
Where necessary, we may share relevant appointment details, including your name, contact number, service address, appointment time and vehicle information, so the assigned technician can complete the requested service.
Contractors are expected to handle customer information appropriately and use it only for authorized service purposes.
We do not provide customer marketing lists to independent technicians for their own unrelated advertising.
8. Cookies, Analytics and Advertising
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to support website functionality, maintain security, understand visitor activity and evaluate advertising performance.
Where enabled, tools such as Google Analytics or Google Ads may collect information about website visits and interactions.
Some service providers may process technical information, such as IP addresses, device identifiers or website activity, according to their own policies.
You can manage or block many cookies through your browser settings. Some website features may not function as intended if certain cookies are disabled.
Where applicable law requires additional consent for particular tracking technologies, we will obtain it.

We may disclose personal information to:
- Booking and payment processors
- Email and SMS service providers
- Website hosting, security and analytics providers
- Authorized technicians and service contractors
- Professional advisers, insurers or claims administrators, where necessary

We do not sell customer contact lists or SMS marketing consent information to third parties for their independent marketing.
We do not share SMS opt-in consent records with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Information may be shared with the service providers necessary to deliver and manage our messaging programs.
We may disclose information in connection with a legitimate business restructuring or transfer, subject to applicable privacy requirements.
10. Information Storage and Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal information from loss, unauthorized access, misuse or disclosure.
These safeguards may include restricted account access, password and authentication controls, secure payment processing, and reputable technology service providers.
No method of electronic storage or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
If a privacy or security incident occurs, we will assess it and take any notification or reporting steps required by applicable law.
11. Retention of Personal Information
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including service delivery, customer support, accounting, legal compliance, warranty or claim matters, and the maintenance of relevant consent records.
Different categories of records may be subject to different retention requirements.
When personal information is no longer needed, we will delete, anonymize or securely dispose of it as appropriate.
An unsubscribe request may require us to retain limited contact information on a suppression list to prevent further unwanted marketing.
12. Storage and Processing Outside Canada
Some service providers may store or process personal information outside Ontario or Canada, including in the United States.
When information is processed in another jurisdiction, it may be subject to that jurisdiction's laws and lawful access requirements.
We remain responsible for using appropriate measures when engaging service providers to process personal information on our behalf.
13. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may contact us to:
- Request access to personal information we hold about you
- Correct or update inaccurate information
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications
- Ask questions about how your information is used or disclosed
- Request deletion of personal information where appropriate
- Raise a privacy concern or complaint
We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests.
Some records may need to be retained to meet legal, tax, accounting, safety or other legitimate obligations.
You may also raise concerns with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada where applicable.
14. Third-Party Websites
Our website may link to third-party services, including Square, Google, social media platforms and other external websites.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of independent third-party websites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing information.
15. Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for individuals capable of arranging and purchasing vehicle services. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information directly from children for marketing purposes.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our services, technology, privacy practices or legal requirements.
The updated version will be posted on our website with a revised effective date. We will provide additional notice when legally required.
